Library
A library is an important part of a school. The huge library is the centre of knowledge at GIS . It is a well lit ,ventilated well stocked library with wide variety of books on each subject together with periodicals and journals. It is a source of knowledge to the young minds. It develops the habit of reading among the students. Our School library subscribes to magazines and newspapers. These may be a source of encouragement for the students to read the newspapers and periodicals. The books on Literature, Science and History are a pleasure ground for the voracious young readers. The students come in touch contact with the books by famous authors. The reference books help them to learn more on various subjects. GIS has a state of the art library that helps the students in updating their knowledge.
It is the centre of knowledge at GIS. It’s a well ventilated, beautiful library with books on various subjects. From the epics of Indian culture to Technology all spheres of knowledge have been converged at GIS library.
Medical Room
The school has a medical room. Monitoring of students health regularly . Doctors are on call.
Laboratory
Now-a -days every single person is familiar with the word, Computer. In fact modern world will be incomplete without computers and their applications. Keeping this in mind Gyankalash International School is giving more importance to Information Technology. GIS has a well equipped Computer Lab with adequate number of computers and well qualified teachers who are always ready to make the students understand the subject practically and theoretically.
Primary classes (I to V): – The focus is on learning the basic of computer science and on understanding the MS Office package along with Logo as a programming language.
Middle classes (VI to VIII): – The courses move beyond the elementary level and Photo Editing software and Animation, HTML and Visual Basic, in addition to QBASIC.
Senior School (IX to XII): – The aim of the course is to provide a clear conceptual understanding and practical experience of working with various Information Technology tools..
The contents include the basics of Information Technology, Information Processing Tools, Office Tools, HTML and XML with special sections on IT applications and the societal impacts of IT. Under Office Tools, Word Processing, Presentation tools, Spreadsheets and Database Management are dealt in details. In Class XI and XII, C++ is taught.
As examples of Operating Systems and Office tools, we have taken MS Windows (MS Windows 7/8/10) and MS Office(MS Office 2013 version).
The laboratory has been given a central and distinctive role in science education, and science educators have suggested that there are rich benefits in learning from using laboratory activities.
At GIS we have four well- equipped modern science labs viz., Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Labs.
Swimming Pool
Swimming is a healthy activity that can be continued for a lifetime, and the health benefits swimming offers for a lifetime are worth the efforts it takes to get to the swimming pool.
At GIS we have a Modern Swimming Pool of international standard and a baby swimming pool. A well qualified and experienced swimming instructor is always there to encourage the students to learn swimming.
